Music of Life

Listen to the sounds loud and clear
Summer and music, fresh breath to my ear
Its melody like a lilting refain
Swirling its music within my brain
A child's laughter filled with delight
And old woman crying softly at night
People laughing and having fun
All a part of this summer of sun

So many places and things to see
Memories captured from all we see
Sights and colors sounds of life
Flickering sunsets, and bright morning light
All give birth to a new day
Catch it quick, before it goes away
Albums and pictures all caught in time
Things we look upon, things that were mine

And when we leave this summer behind
We have those things that make life so divine
The scent of the earth after a rain
Those blossoming flowers that grew so  fast
So many memories,  all wonderful and new
Days endings and their beautiful hues
Speak of Summer, and all we can do
Take me to a beach, on a sandy shore
let me hear the water and its roar
Tides crashing against the rocks
Feeling that sand so warm and soft
Highlights of summers never lost

Treasures of life, so safely stored
In a rhapsody of of music
And times I've adored

Breathe in deeply and never let it go
these are your times the times we know
When all is happiness and filled with life
Never let them go, never live in strife
Symphony after symphony
Let the music play, softly fading shadows
Proclaim those summer days
